Everything you need to run CADKeeper
CADKeeper audits a folder of CAD files against your naming standard and safely batch-fixes the names — no CAD software required, and nothing leaves your machine. Start with the walkthrough, then dig into the pieces.
Getting started →
The whole workflow, end to end: pick a folder, choose or build a ruleset, run the audit, preview the proposed names, apply the safe batch, and roll back if needed.
Writing a naming standard →
How to describe your convention so CADKeeper turns it into a working ruleset — fields, discipline codes, separators, revisions, with a copy-paste example. No AI required.
Cleanup transforms →
Normalizing find-and-replace rules applied before matching, so messy real-world names line up with your standard instead of being flagged as violations.
Reading DWG XREFs →
DXF references are read natively. For DWG, install a dwgread binary from LibreDWG and point CADKeeper at it — it runs read-only and locally.
Folder reorganization →
Move files into a standard folder layout — by discipline, phase, or type — with a preview you approve and one-click rollback. A Pro feature.
Real-time folder watch →
Watch chosen folders and get alerted the moment a file lands with a name that breaks your standard. Alert-only, nothing is changed. A Pro feature.
The one rule that matters: nothing changes until you approve it
Every rename or move is shown to you as a dry-run preview first, is written to a reversible change log with full before-and-after paths, and can be undone with one click. It's still smart to keep a backup of any folder before a big batch — the safeguards lower the risk, they don't replace your backups.
